Rome: Series finale last night. Rome has been one of the all around best shows i've seen in a long time. Violence, sex, politics, ancient military formations, british accents, decadence, greed, and did i mention the sex and the violence? Anyhow, that show totally made having HBO worthwhile. Last nights series finale was an appropriate end to the series. It wasn't over the top, and it didn't try to go sappy at the end. One small thing: When Marc Anthony says "Do you find that funny? Do i amuse you? Am I a clown? Should I dance for you?" i felt like they straight up cribbed from Goodfellas.
When this comes out on DVD you must buy it.
Battlestar Galactica: Season Finale? It's MARCH. And they end with a promo saying they'll be back in 2008? Can i say again, it's MARCH. I'm not sure how much i'm going to miss it. The last couple of episodes have been much better than the whole previous season. But at the same time, I don't know that I care. So, we now know who 4 of the 5 of 5 are. Great. That was awfully anticlimactic. And it's strongly hinted who the 5th is, with her magical return. I hope the next season is the end of the series and they make an effort to keep it focused and interesting. Gaius Baltar was the only really interesting storyline to me this season. The rest of it...?
Anyhow, that's the TV geek stuff I have. Thoughts and comments are always appreciated.
Music thoughts: new Modest Mouse is really good, don't know why anyone's questioning it. The new album by The Stooges is stupid good. I like it. You can unplug your brain, like any good Iggy/Stooges thing. I'm a newcomer to the Idlewild, but i dig it. New album comes out tomorrow, i believe, but i've been enjoying it for a couple of weeks now.
In iblog-o-friend news: Jasper at WebVomit keeps moving. I think he's embarrassed that I keep name dropping his ass. But I'm that retarded kid that keeps showing up at peoples houses until their mom pulls me aside and tells me that although she's TRIED to get her kids to play nice with me, they just can't stand me, and could i just stop coming around because it'd be the best for everyone involved.
